Spring Cleaning
Living a clutter-free life is not only preferable but essential when living in a big city with, what I call, micro-apartments, like New York City.
With limited space, comes great responsibility… To be creative. While it is nearly impossible to replace your entire living room in an effort to live a more clutter-free lifestyle, with the help of great furniture and the advice of an even better Interior Designer, your vision can become reality. Charmed Life caught up with Interior Designer and Styling Consultant, Stephanie Cohen, to speak about redecorating and decluttering.
“Many of my clients come to work with me because they are overwhelmed by the idea of completely restyling their home.” Stephanie said, “Interior designers are usually hired because they have the capability to visualize the room as a whole, without being consumed by pressure. When working without the help of an Interior Designer, my suggestion is to focus on one piece at a time. Start with your statements piece and gradually move on to your accent pieces, you will be amazed by the limited stress and most importantly, the final display.”
On Stephanie’s website, she displays multiple different examples of how to create your living room sanctuary piece by piece. We decided to look at one of her examples more closely…
Finally… Clutter free at last! You may have believed that you’d never see the day, but here it is. Your apartment gone from the ugly step sister, to the bell of the ball. But what will the final product actually look like…..
