Who knows what happened, but we all woke up one-day last year and decided that eyebrows were incredibly important.

Maybe it was the emergence of Cara Delevingne’s bushy brows that made us question our own brows and how fierce they looked compared to everyone else and theirs?

Either way, we ran out to our beauty specialists and asked them to pluck, wax, thread, tint, and whatever other magical treatments they felt necessary we should inflict on the few or many hairs we have above our eyes. And voila! We were new women, we felt like we could take on the world with our new styled brows.

Unfortunately, many of us choose the brow shape we like rather than the brow shape that suits our face. So here are my top tips on knowing your perfect brow shape;

Thick Brows (Heart Shaped Face)

Ladies if you have thick brows relish them, they are not a force to be messed with! Let them grow in the direction they should and if you feel you want to take a little control use a brow gel to keep them looking polished.

Thin Brows (Square Shaped Face)

Thin brows look best on a thin face to help emphasise soft facial features. A simple curve can be created with a thin brow to suit a thin shaped face.

Thin brows should be tweezed and trimmed to perfection. One can brush through a coat of clear mascara to keep thin brows looking sleek.

Curved Brows (Round Shaped Face)

If you have a round-shaped face, add some softly curved arches to your brows. They will help to complement your face. Precise shaping is very important here!

Straight Brows (Petite Face)

Straight brows look best on a petite face. They should be perfectly parallel and manicured at all times.

Angular Brows (All face shapes)

If you notice your brows have an angled arch to them do not try and change the shape. Simple tweeze them to keep the angle and use a brow pencil and brush. No threading or waxing is necessary to maintain angular brows.
