Sunday’s are for Baking
The Food Network got me inspired to bake. So here it is…
The LaFayette family Chocolate Chip recipe:
2 1/4 cup of All-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 sticks or 1 cup of fine French butter
1/2 cup fine caster sugar
1/2 cup of light brown sugar
1-2 tsp fine vanilla
2 eggs
1-2 cups of high-quality fine semi-sweet chocolate (eyeball the amount of morsels in proportion to the dough)
I also like to melt my butter prior to adding to the wet mixture, mix all the sugar, vanilla, eggs and butter together then add in the dry flour, baking soda & salt.
Bake at 375 degrees, depending on the size of the cookie you want to make 8-11 mins or until golden brown. If you noticed I prefer to bake them in a cute mini muffin tin, it makes them cute and bite sized, don’t forget to grease your tin!
